Data Scientist (Global - Hybrid/Remote)

As a Data Scientist at AXON Networks, you will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that will inform our business decisions. You will work closely with our product, engineering, and business teams to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements. Understanding network, infrastructure, and telecommunication industry would be a significant advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with large, complex data sets to perform data wrangling, data exploration, and data visualization.
  • Develop predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and statistical analyses to generate insights and inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data-driven initiatives and lead the execution of these initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our products, services, and customer needs to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements.
  • Provide thought leadership and strategic direction to ensure the effective use of data and analytics throughout the organization.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling, and leverage this knowledge to inform our data strategy.


Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as statistics, computer science, mathematics, or engineering. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • At least 3 years of experience in data analytics and/or data science roles.
  • Experience with data wrangling, data exploration, and data visualization.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience working with SQL and big data technologies.
  • Experience developing and deploying predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and statistical analyses.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data analyses and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience within network, infrastructure, or telecommunications industry is a significant advantage.
  • Passionate about data and its potential to drive business value, with a natural curiosity to explore new data sources and techniques.
  • Must be fluent in English - spoken and written. 
  • Agile/Scrum background is a plus.
